The Hatteras Trip

BABA coordinates two trips annually to Hatteras. More than 40 windsurfers from the Baltimore/Washington area hit the road in May and again in October to stay on Island Creek - Avon, North Carolina's premiere sound front windsurfing community. Activities on the trips include social events, gear demo's, mini clinics, a beach bonfire and great sailing camaraderie. The windsurfing shops in Avon take notice when BABA arrives and roll out the red carpets.

October 2002 - BABA members in Hatteras were treated to a chance encounter with the legendary Robbie Naish.

BABA is also interested in organizing a winter trip each year. Club members have gone to Lake Arenal, Costa Rica (left) and Margarita. If you're interested in coordinating a trip farther afield, contact the webmaster.
